About us...

Julie is a 27 year old Sr. Personnel Coordinator for a staffing company located in Greenbelt, MD where she has been employee since 2004. Bill is a 32 year old Electrical Engineer with a local utility company located in Baltimore, MD.

Our 1st Date...

Bill and I met in response to a personals ad that I had posted on craigslist.com.   We arranged to meet a day or so later, which happened to be the same day that I was selling my car and my dad was giving me one that he was working on.  Long story short, I looked like a loser and had to cancel plans.  Thankfully Bill was persistent and asked me out for a few days later.  I didn't hear from him again until the night we were supposed to meet up, and I had already arranged another date.  (I know this isn't looking good at all) I went on my dinner date then rushed up to White Marsh, so that Bill and I could finally meet up.

We met for a drink at Red Brick Station (1/11/07) and chatted like people normally would on a date.  I knew a little about him from the messages we had sent back and forth and knew that he had a son who at the time was 4.  I asked if he had a picture and he did of his son when he was 2! I made fun of him (and still do) at least keep you wallet pictures current!  Conversation consisted of Bill talking a lot about food, and cooking, etc.  All things that he loves, and things that I could've cared less about.  I felt the evening was going down hill very quickly.  I tried to end the night, with the ole' I'm really tired and have to get up early routine, but Bill suggested we grab just 1 more beer at DellaRose's across the street.

Reluctantly at the time I agreed, and I am so glad that I went! We had a few beers talked a little more about our goals, dreams, etc. This is where we had our 1st kiss (to the song Don't Stop Believin').  He has forever changed my life, he is the man of my dreams and I couldn't be happier to marry him.

Over the years...

Our 1st date was 1/11/07, and throughout the following year things were not always happy, we had a lot of obstacles to overcome. In October of 2008 Bill and I decided to take our relationship to the next level, by me moving from my home in Arbutus, MD and moving into his home in Edgewood, MD with him and his son.  1 week before we were to move all of my belongings Bill arrived home to find that his home with all of his belongings (and some of mine) had caught fire and nothing was salvageable.  At this time the logical step was for Bill to move to Arbutus with me.

The last several months have consisted of Bill and I planning out next steps and rehabbing his fathers home in Forrest Hill, MD.  Our hopes are to be moved in and settled there in the next couple of months.  This will again bring us closer to Wyatt (Bill's son) and his school, and being able to spend more time with him.  And create our life together as a family.
